AHHC Committees

Government Affairs

Responsible for keeping abreast of proposed and pending State and Federal legislation which may impact the delivery of home care, hospice and other in-home services. This committee is also responsible for gathering and resolving reimbursement, cost report and other financial issues with third party payors of home care and hospice services. Members must be willing to participate in AHHC's Annual Legislative Day, grass roots activities and become members of CarePAC. 


Clinical and Regulatory Affairs

Promotes innovation, compliance and quality in care delivery and works to resolve professional workforce issues.


Hospice Leaders Council

The purpose of the hospice council is to build excellence among the member providers and to serve as a forum for best practice sharing to better serve the citizens of NC.


Public Relations and Communications 

Responsible for the selection of the Annual HOME Awards and supporting the Association's legislative, clinical and regulatory efforts by educating key stakeholders about home care, hospice and other in-home services in NC and the issues that impact their delivery of quality care.


DHSR Liaison

Members are responsible for communicating with the Division of Health Services Regulation regarding issues on certification, licensure and the in-home aide registries. Members must be willing to travel to Raleigh for meetings 3-4 times a year.


Insurance 

Responsible for monitoring managed care in NC and addressing issues related to private insurance payors of in-home services.


Medicare Liaison

Members are responsible for keeping abreast of proposed State and Federal regulations which may impact the delivery of home care, hospice and other in-home services. This committee is often asked to respond with comments to pending regulations and policies via email.


Professional Development

Responsible for advising staff regarding educational activities and annual conferences for in-home service providers. Members must be willing to volunteer at AHHC's Leadership Conference and Annual Convention & Expo.
